ULTRA (FUTUR-TEC) FUNCTIONALITIES
My Ultrasonic Actuator isn’t performing the way that it did when it was brand new; is something wrong?
Soluton: Your Ultrasonic Actuator contains a ceramic-like material that will break down over time and eventually require the replacement of the hand piece. Depending on the amount of usage that your Ultrasonic Actuator gets you can expect a functional life span of roughly 6 to 9 months – with a maximum life span of 12 months. As such, it’s not uncommon for you to notice a gradual decline in the performance of the Actuator the more you use it.
Solution: Your Ultrasonic Actuator was calibrated to your ULTRA machine by your Ageless Esthetics trainer at the onset of your training. This should only be done once, when you first introduce a NEW Ultrasonic Actuator to your equipment. However, as your hand set gets older and begins to break down, you may wish to re-calibrate in order to boost performance. PLEASE NOTE that re-calibrating the Actuator repeatedly will shorten its life-span. If your only concern is that the hand piece isn’t performing the way it did when it was brand new, please reference the answer to question #1.
Solution: Press the “Setup” tab on the top of your ULTRA screen. Ensure that the Ultrasonic Actuator is plugged into the front of the machine, and press the “Calibrate Wand” button. A status bar will appear on the screen and display the progress of the calibration. During this time you will hear your Ultrasonic Actuator emit a series of noises as the software in the hand piece synchs with the software of the equipment. Once completed the status bar will disappear from the screen and your Actuator is now re-calibrated.
Solution: Please check to see if your Microlase Wrinkle Comb functions properly when the foot pedal is depressed. If not, then please check to ensure that the foot pedal is not damaged. If the foot pedal plug is loose, bent or otherwise damaged, this may affect the control of both the Wrinkle Comb and Actuator.
Solution: Please check the plug of your Actuator and verify that the seven pins inside of it are all the same length. If the two bottom pins are shorter than the other five, this indicates that somebody has tried to force the Actuator into the Microlase Wrinkle Comb port. Unfortunately if this is the case, your Ultrasonic Actuator must be replaced.
Solution: Please double check the plug of your foot pedal, and make sure that it’s not broken or loose. If the connection is loose, it can cause your other accessories to run intermittently. If this is the case then your foot pedal needs to be replaced.
MICROLIFT (MICRO-CURRENT) FUNCTIONALITIES
Solution: Please double check to ensure that you are in “Microlift” mode and have selected the function that you wish to operate (i.e. “Gliding,” “Quick,” etc.) and have pressed “Start.” If the machine has been paused then it will not conduct, so make sure that the clock is counting down. Verify that the red plug is inserted into the “+” port and that the black plug is inserted into the “-“port. Make sure that the probe attachments are threaded in securely and touch metal to metal to see if the conductivity bar rises during contact. If all of these steps have been taken and no conductivity can be seen on the display, please contact Ageless Esthetics for further support.
Please check to ensure that the red plug is in the “+” port and the black plug is in the “-“port. If the black plug is in the “+” port, constant conductivity will be the result. If both probes are connected properly, double check that they’re not touching and confirm that the ETR cable’s buds aren’t touching either (if the ETR cable is plugged in; if possible simply unplug it). If all of these steps have been taken and constant conductivity remains, please contact Ageless Esthetics for further support.
TOUCH SCREEN FUNCTIONALITIES
Solution: As with many touch panel operated devices, it’s not uncommon for the buttons on the screen to shift or “migrate” from time to time. If you’re able to select the “Setup” tab from the top of your screen, do so and then press the “Calibrate Touch Panel” button. Follow the onscreen procedures to re-calibrate your touch panel. If you’re unable to select the “Setup” tab due to the severity of the migration, turn the machine off and while maintaining pressure in the middle of the screen with your thumb, turn the machine back on. This will force the machine into the aforementioned touch panel re-calibration process. Follow the on-screen instructions until complete.
