What does it do? Lactic acid gel is designed for use in professional peels. This gentle peel improves skin texture and color, unclogs pores and allows better penetration and absorption of moisturizers and other vital nutrients. Lactic acid works to unclog pores and dissolve oil and sebum buildup, thus lowering the chance of acne bacteria buildup underneath the surface of skin.
What does that mean? Lactic Acid Gel dissolves the cellular cement responsible for holding excess skin cells on the surface of the skin thereby facilitating their sloughing off.
Who's it for? Lactic Acid is milder than glycolic acid and is suitable for sensitive, delicate skin. Lactic Acid Gel is suitable for treating acne, blemishes, hyperpigmentation, clogged pores, dehydration, oily skin, large pores, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles.
What's in it? Lactic Acid Gel 10% with a pH level of 2.0
How's it different? Lactic Acid Gel is derived from Sour Milk to form Lactic Acid. Peeling with Lactic Acid is less intense as the skin already contains this substance and therefore more readily accepts it without excessive irritation.
When to use it? With any peel, extra caution is necessary. Do not apply on open skin or get into eye area, it is recommended to apply peel on hands or inner portion of arms to feel the level of irritation before apply on face. Use a half teaspoon of peel and leave on 5 minutes for sensitive skin or 10 minutes for normal to thicker skin. Rinse off with cool water.
